Upper management and marketing tend to sell things that the company does not have and this puts a lot of pressure on the developers to deliver. I understand this is one way to ensure what the company is making what is wanted by customers, but there should be more side by side involvement of marketing what the company has/can make with the lead of the development team. It also has happened multiple times that when the head of the development department takes time off upper management makes fast moves that the head of the development department would otherwise protest. Then when he returns things have been forced and it again puts a ton of pressure onto him and onto the development team. On a different note, if you want to work on a single issue or project from start to finish Tecore is not the place for you, there is nearly daily context switching from a multi-month project to a high urgency issue, and then over to researching on a new project. While this can keep things "fresh" or "interesting" it also becomes very discouraging to lose time having to relearn where you were on a project or issue. It is very discouraging to have to update managers and other departments that the previously listed time that a project would be completed has been pushed back multiple weeks, especially when it feels like it is out of your control. There is also way more work than employees, by an incredible amount, so there feels like there is a mountain of things to do all the time and each of them needed to be done 2 weeks (or months) ago.
