Pros

You see money that can be made but never is made.

Cons

I read the reviews before starting my career at Terminix and I just assumed that it was bitter ex employees. I took the job with all the optimism in the world and within 2 days I realized that this place is an absolute nightmare. Long hours, very, very poor pay and a revolving door of management and employees. They expect you to work over 10 hours everyday and do not care at all about your family or outside life. DO NOT WORK HERE unless you have no family or friends or absolutely nothing to do besides work. Btw, all of the negative reviews are spot on. STAY AWAY!!!!

Money and Family Time Issue

Pros

In the beginning- out of the 8 years my husband worked there, probably for the first 3-4 the money was good. He worked a lot of hours--like 6am-8pm (9pm or 10 pm in the summer because it is light longer in the evenings) but the commission was good and so he stayed. They have some good techs- but treat them terribly. Customers loved my husband and his other fellow techs but they were not treated well by this company.

Cons

More and more over the course of the next 5 years they began taking more money out of the techs pockets and making it impossible for them to take vacations, or be home when it was light outside. He originally had 2 saturdays off a month- then it became no Saturdays--not one for years. They even sent him out a few Sundays (which they are not suppose to do- to do free services (that means he didn't get paid-at all for his time). I My last straw was when we were 28 years old my husband's father died suddenly. He took off two days for the calling hours and funeral- the branch manager called him, the day of his father's calling hours, and sent him out to do a free service- really? You couldn't find ANYONE else? He stayed another 4 years, through several (completely unqualified) people getting promoted over him and finally had enough when his last paycheck was basically stolen from him through their programs and desire to rip off their employees. I am so thankful he has a better job now where the company takes care of their hardworking, dedicated employees.

Pros

A car to drive and fuel card. No one breathing down ur neck. Thats about it seriously. It sucks. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Cons

Working 6 days a week. Generating your own leads. Selling $20k before making money. Management runs leads while you have none. Upper management is only interested in termite sales. Pest control sales are meaningless here. Very disappointed
