One of the best cultures I've worked at

Pros

Testlio is a genuinely kind company that strives for greatness. I believe we have a great and welcoming culture because we are a female-founded tech company, which is unfortunately a rarity in the tech industry. The CEO possesses the rare combination of making the decisions required to help Testlio be great and not thrash due to a lack of decision making, while also being a genuinely kind human who lives the values. Steve continually impresses me with his leadership and humility. Our customers also love our service, so it is easy to believe in the company and simply focus on finding the growth opportunities that are a good fit. Kristel's innovation and the cultural path she set Testlio on almost a decade ago are unique. Testlio is a case of by being true to yourself and your culture, a company can grow year over year via the 'flywheel effect'. By aspiring to be what makes us great, Testlio continues to grow. It's a nice place to be with a good work-live balance.

Cons

Sometimes the distributed by design culture can lead to a feeling that there is a consensus culture. I've found that once you've earned the company's and leaders' trust after a couple quarters, they make you feel empowered to do what is right without asking for permission first.

Testlio Response

We appreciate the thoughtful feedback — I couldn’t agree more with the pros; they are what draws many of our team members to Testlio. I also appreciate the thoughtful cons — keeping ourselves up to date with our technical stack and modern solutions takes time, and balance with product roadmaps. We are aware of the reasons for the challenges you mention and are tackling this as we speak, investing in capacity, focusing on our roadmap, and hiring more talent for our awesome team. If there is anything in particular you’re seeing, please don’t hesitate to come to me if you haven’t already. Sincerely, Jaanus Ranniit CTO, Testlio
