Pros

Vacation time has improved over the years, pivoted to allowing hybrid work environment. Two days in office, three remote.

Cons

Development of new products is abysmal. Everything is released half-baked and never really fixed with no urgency to fix issues. Go to market products are barely tested with customer being the beta test. It's a mass exodus of product knowledge. The customers are frustrated and are being over charged for development shortcomings which is making them consider their competitors. Long time employees are leaving, not retiring just leaving the company. It's a revolving door of new employees. the President(Jim) left at the start of the year, key account managers are leaving, HR director is leaving, marketing director has left, support team, you name it. Goals for the sales team are set so high that they are unattainable. Out of 30ish sales team members less than 20% of them make goal each year. You ARE NOT setup for success at this company. New hires who are not near a corporate office; Canton, Atlanta or Ithaca are hired as full remote employees even though the same position as those that live near an office are expected to come in two days a week. This means longtime employees are being denied remote options over new hires. This company is constantly taking employee surveys to see how they are doing. The problem is these surveys are not anonymous, upper management never truly gets a clear picture of employee feedback. Who wants to provide honest answers on a poll that identifies you?

The CBORD Group Response

Thank you for your review. There has been a higher level of change than we have experienced in the past 6-7 years and we understand that can be scary. We understand the frustration of meeting goals but it is simply untrue that our employees are not set up for success. We do have a lot of surveys, some are anonymous and some are not. We have completely anonymous pulse surveys that cannot be linked to any one employee. We are always looking for constructive feedback and I will get your concerns in front of our leadership team.

Pros

Roper stands to make more profit when they inevitably sell CBORD Most cubicles are empty so plenty of room to have friends/family over. The company sacrifices long-time employees and integrity for the bottom line, so it's great for shareholders.

Cons

the empty cubicles also create a sense of inevitable doom and despair, so it's a mixed bag nobody is happy here, except for the few executives who get paid enough to fake a smile

Pros

Working with great people for the most part, but there are elite cliques with big egos Halfway decent hardware to work on

Cons

The new president, Jim Hofflein, is short-sighted and not compassionate. He promoted a person and laid the person off two weeks later. He has been taking a hatchet ever since he came. Massive software development layoff just took place so we are left with on-site staff who only know 15 year old technology and do not want to listen to new ideas. He is ruining our culture.
