Pros

As others have said it is the people you work WITH, not necessarily who you for.

Cons

The company takes full advantage of employees by firing employees then passing the duties on to others and never compensating them for additional work that continues to keep piling on. They are notorious for under paying employees and not keeping with market values, but this does help upper managements numbers to parent company. Many employees work excessive overtime in order to keep projects and goals met to the point that they burn out. Management loves to share how well the company is but none of this passes down to employees.

The CBORD Group Response
8y
CBORD has undergone significant changes in order to remain competitive; when companies change and grow, systems and processes also change; ensuring that employees have the tools they need to succeed and be productive is very important. CBORD employees work in a collaborative environment where managers and employees can openly communicate issues and work together to remove obstacles. CBORD has always compensated its employees competitively and offers excellent benefits and PTO programs.

Pros

Great co-workers and a new office.

Cons

Roper only provided a president who is shared between 2 companies. The focus is on the bottom line and not on innovation or the employees. The company had its 1st layoffs in company history after years of growth and profit.

Pros

Niche market that has a long cycle time to respond to lack of support and innovation. expensive to switch vendors so clients locked in for a while. The new CEO is cashing in on that.

Cons

Multiple rounds of deep layoffs (starting in a year of records new sales), in order to prop up the new CEO's ego and cash flow to Roper. Dropping many long term employees intending to replace with cheaper staff in an 'Innovation Center' that never happened because we couldn't find a sucker to take over a gutted engineering team. This led immediately to a toxic environment, outsourcing development due to entire teams being gutted, and inability to rehire competent staff. Company ratings understandably dropped way down to 2.1. Senior leadership says this is all just due to 'sour grapes' and 'resistance to change'. Behold a sudden spike to 3.8! DON'T BE FOOLED, we have been repeatedly aggressively instructed that we need to submit highly positive reviews to Glassdoor, or leave the company...
