The event was amazing. The best part was meeting old co workers and seeing my co workers dress up. It was amazing to see people at Chicago Lighthouse that have worked for over 50 years.

Cons

The event may have been a little long because of all of the presentations.

Pros

It is a super friendly atmosphere where people genuinely care for each other. The Chicago Lighthouse helps so many people who are blind by providing care, support and employment. I'm proud to be part of that mission. The Lighthouse epitomizes access and inclusion--the workforce is diverse in every possible way. I feel understood, appreciated and well-compensated in my position.

Cons

Not really a con, but expectations are very high and workload can be heavy.

I have worked at The Lighthouse for almost 2 years, and I have never met so many people dedicated to serving our mission community of the blind, visually impaired, otherwise disabled and Veterans. The leadership, led by the CEO and the Board, is committed to improving our employees' experiences with the same level of commitment the employees have for our patients and clients. There has been significant progress since I started and it’s continuing, with staff guiding the priorities and discussion.

Cons

No place is perfect, but the organization has identified and invested in key areas for growth and development and is committed to improving our employees' experiences.
