Pros

The ONLY pro is weekly pay

Cons

I regret turning down other positions for this job! -poor supervisor and leadership.. I have only been here for 1 month and it’s been nothing but 1 bad experience after another! -They have regular CSR that are not fully knowledgeable training! -they don’t let you complete training videos during work hours you have to do it on your own time! - they don’t let you attend the benefits meeting because it’s during work hours. I was told to attend the meeting after my work hours. -after 1 month of training we are sent home to work. All trainees are put into a group chat if we have any questions team leads and supervisors can help….you would to think most of them hate their jobs by the way they respond !!!! Anytime you ask a question you are talk to like your stupid and the supervisor / team lead have an attitude!

Pros

Pros are the weekly pay.

Cons

Very micro-managed and terrible communication. Little to no personal life if you have no sick time forget about calling off because that is a write up.

The Chicago Lighthouse Response

A message from Dr. Janet Szlyk, President and CEO of the Chicago Lighthouse: Thank you for your feedback. I would like to offer a few words on behalf of The Chicago Lighthouse as a place of employment. This year, The Chicago Lighthouse, including myself, the Board of Directors, and the organization’s executive leadership team, has prioritized our workplace culture, gathering input and listening to Lighthouse employees to develop strategies to make this organization a best place to work. Earlier this year, we launched an agency-wide employee engagement survey, which asked every employee to provide anonymous and confidential feedback about our culture and areas of improvement. Using those survey results, we have begun a multi-year engagement strategy to address key issues that contribute to building and supporting a healthy, growing, and productive workforce. We are adopting new ways of communicating, creating alignment on vision and goals for the organization, and empowering our team members to have a voice and active involvement in contributing to the organization’s culture. I hope that you will lend your voice to this process, either through the initiatives that are underway or by reaching out directly and privately to our Chief Human Resources Officer, Mike Niccolai. Every employee’s input – including yours – is necessary and valuable to identify areas of improvement and to develop strategies to address those areas. I encourage everyone at The Lighthouse to be a part of this process. As the leader of The Chicago Lighthouse, I care deeply about maintaining the organization’s brand and 117-year history of excellence in assisting our area’s underserved communities. I am committed to advancing the organization’s critical work and strive to do this as effectively as possible, with empathy, passion, and deep concern for the communities we serve, including our employees. Please let us know your thoughts. Thank you, Janet
