I love the kids and families..director not so much

Pros

holidays off, benefits and decent pay. I love seeing the kids every day and being a part of their daily learning. Some of the families are more supportive then the bosses

Cons

Horrible boss who went out of her way to point out each and every little thing you do wrong. The owner can't wait to blame maintenance problems on teachers. Some of the other teachers don't know how to work as a team and would rather throw you under the bus, then support you. Some teachers are nice, but if you just started working there, you feel left out because most of the other teachers have known each other for a long time.

-The owner at the school I work at is ALWAYS on site. -They have a wonderful open door policy -My co-workers are great -They are a very clean facility -They have high standards

Cons

-Working with all females is hard because people do tend to have drama there -The uniforms are very limited

Pros

The children, the families, and a small group of coworkers, were seriously the only things that kept me around.

Cons

Poor pay compared to other preschools in the area; franchise-wide focus on paperwork and ridiculous "curricula" that does nothing to foster meaningful development in the children; very limited benefits; no set payscale (staff who have an unrelated, or no, college degree make as much compensation or more than those staff who are licensed, accredited teachers); franchisees who aren't required to have any knowledge about preschools or education before opening a school; franchisees who have no desire to spend money on their programs above lining their own pockets.
