Pros

The employees on the ground are skilled, collaborative, and genuinely care about doing the right thing. Legacy systems and processes while outdated, at least provide some stability for now. A few strong SMEs remain who do their best to hold things together.

Cons

Leadership is completely removed from the day to day reality of how broken the environment actually is. Decisions are made in isolation, with no regard for the technical debt piling up or the people responsible for keeping critical services afloat. Instead of fixing anything they are now obsessed with throwing money at flashy AI projects. It's already burning cash and does nothing to address the real problems dragging the company down. There's no coherent roadmap, just a series of knee jerk reactions, acronyms for everything and poorly planned initiatives. Projects are launched without proper resources or understanding of dependencies, leaving full time staff scrambling to patch issues that leadership never anticipated. Consultants are brought in and deemed useless as they have to rely on fully time employees to get anything meaningful done. Instead of investing in sustainable fixes, temporary band-aids are applied and it's on to the next fire.

Pros

None, the company is toxic and everything is failing, you get call couple days a week at 2am with no appreciation at all.

Cons

Been here over 20 years, used to be a small and family like company, but since Covid it become worse and worse, project keep failing, Renaissance developed over 8 years with no day to go live, terrible architecture design. hired many people outside with low skill but keep playing politics, the culture here is toxic, finger point game everywhere, especially new people was bullied, manager keep pressing, have to develop for new system while oncall support old Encore system. often got call 2am in the morning and still have to go to office, this company will destroy your health and totally not worth to stay here.

Pros

Legacy employees and SMEs still know the environment and genuinely care. The prior CSO built real security posture, remediated 50+ findings, and encouraged balance and collaboration.

Cons

The new CSO is a CIO in disguise, with little regard for actual security. His obsession is with AI—not even security-related AI, just whatever buzzword will get him attention and name recognition. Instead of understanding the environment or focusing on risk, his energy goes into promoting himself and chasing shiny tech narratives. He’s quick to tell everyone how smart he is, but doesn’t dig into the details, doesn’t understand the current environment, and doesn’t build achievable strategies. Instead, he parrots whatever leadership wants to hear, functioning more as a “yes man” than as a true security leader. The result? Real security threats are ignored, employees feel attacked instead of supported, and the program drifts further away from anything meaningful. Compared to the prior CSO—who delivered measurable improvements and encouraged trust—the downgrade in leadership is impossible to miss.
