Pros

Catered lunches, good highly skilled people in every department.

Cons

The product is not scalable. There was an urgent requirement to redo a bunch of underlying pieces but the management was ONLY focussing on bringing on more customers when the current ones were never using it because of the issues. The wall with the big brand names, yeah none of them use the product anymore.

Pros

Vision and promise of the company. Great set of people (almost all gone). Ambitiously useful exterior needed a sophisticated interior. We did get to create some great technology in spite of the lack of support, and had some incredibly talented team members to work with. Team Tidemark was one of the best feelings and stages of my career to date. I would like to repeat that.

Cons

The remaining co-founders, who are still there following the wipeout of investors and employees after recapitalization and layoffs, disempower those beneath. They were highly dishonest and disingenuous during my time there. Accountability was absent and actually discouraged. Very poor financial management, huge investment early on to maintain appearance of functionality with a damaging architecture, expensive support instead of making an easy-to-maintain product, and much later infatuation with shiny tech that was ill-suited and abandoned. Instead of investing in building the core product! The CEO is just not competent as a CTO. Hired some great people only to insist on the wrong path. His way or the highway, that's why there are so many former Tidemarkers. The strength of my disappointment at how the company turned out has been one of the worst feelings so far.

Management: Arrogance, Hubris, Bullying – STAY AWAY!

Pros

I am so thankful to have met and worked with this many gifted and brilliant people – who with every bug-ridden release - exhibited herculean efforts to keep the plane flying.

Cons

C-Level Management: Soviet-style, top down and in your face. – Intimidating, bullying, offensive. A feature factory with no material future. If you are still there – get the heck out ASAP.
