Cons

Stress can be an issue in all sales jobs, but the balance of work life and home life is ultimately up to the employee. No one requires you to stay late at TQL, but the successful people here are willing to put in extra time to get good results.

At TQL you can expect to work in a fast pace environment with other fast pace people. Each day you sit down will not be like yesterday. The benefits here are excellent. Everyone here will treat you with respect and value your work life balance. Our Technology is one of a kind. Trust me when I say nobody out there has the technology we do. Imagine yourself working for a company that is not afraid to have fun. We have a work out facility on site that will compare with your local gym. Do you run? We have an active running group. Do you Cycle? We have a active cycle group. Do make beer? Yep we have a group for that too. Do you want to work of a company that has a company wide sales competition where the top performers get to go to the Bahamas? If you are energetic, hardworking and determined to succeed then this is the place for you. Working at TQL is like owning your own company. Only you can make your business grow.

Cons

Work life balance when you start here is not the greatest. This is a sales job so you have to build your client base and that takes time. Time spent here at the office and time at home. Will you get after hours phone calls while you are at dinner with your family. Yes. Will you get phone calls while you are on vacation. Yes. Will you get phone calls in the middle of the night. Yes. Are they all the time? It depends on how you run YOUR account when you are at work. I have been with the company 5 years and I get about 2-3 phone calls after hrs during the week because I run a tight ship on my account. Other LAE's get more. This job is stressful because it is a sales job and like any other sales job comes stress. Stress of not making any money, stress from worrying about loads on the road, stress about whether your customers are satisfied. I would be lying if I said this was a get rich quick job. It’s not! The average amount of time a "successful broker" took to become "successful" is two years of hard work and long hrs.

- High intensity atmosphere where your surrounding by other like minded motivated individuals. - Work hard, play hard atmosphere. - If you work smart and hard you will be rewarded financially and also have the opportunity to pursue leadership positions within the company - Great upper management team that is approachable and visible throughout each level of the company - TQL is constantly putting together great events for employees to get to know each other outside of work. Great place to make friends.

Cons

- 24/7 availability is required for long term success. Meeting customer expectations and demands involves occasionally working weekends, holidays, and sometimes addressing situations at 3 or 4am at night. - In order to build a successful book of business 50-60 hour work weeks are necessary until you have built up a solid customer base. - Hard to take time away from work especially in the beginning of sales career.
