Pros

Leading a team you've grown through training and leading through example Highest starting hourly wage for unskilled workers Compared to starting rate very low percentage-based yearly increases for these hourly unskilled workers. Generous shift differential for nights & weekend hours worked by hourly associates, calculated as a percentage of base hourly rate. Benefits

Cons

Feeling helpless when wanting to reward your high performers a higher annual increase. This is goes with the salaried manager's territory in any field consisting of mainly unskilled workers, but I'll say it anyway: being on salary and still working positions 40 to 90% of your work week covering for call outs, vacations, in peak & extremely below peak periods and during staff shortages Benefits

They don't monitor closely enough their on the ground manager's treatment of employees.

Pros

Flexible schedules for college students. Job security. Reasonable health benefits (at employee's expense).

Cons

Poor communication among management. Very few pay increases (only make $0.47/hour more than 4 years ago). Employees are rarely moved up within company (hire management from outside). Always under-staffed. HUGE turnover rate in employees.
