Pros

Cafeteria has good wedding soup

Cons

Round after round of job eliminations, yet they still are loosing money hand over fist. Eventually they'll have to sell or close Pottstown & Phoenixville hospitals then Reading Hospital will be bought up by another better health care system.

Pros

Unable to identify any at this time.

Cons

Reading Hospital decided to close their inpatient psych unit, presumably because it was not a “money maker” for the rapidly expanding health system. TBH is run by for-profit Acadia Healthcare. Google them for additional serious concerns related to the for-profit company. TBH is incompetently run by a disorganized, under qualified, and under-prepared senior staff. They are more concerned with disciplining staff for non-existent violations than they are with creating actual policies. Facility took 3 years to complete when the initial projection was 9 months. Currently accepting minimal adult patients as they do not yet have full accreditation. Being advertised as the “new, state of the art facility” that will prove a Tower Health “cares” about mental health and substance disorders. Therefore, Tower Health closed their inpatient facility, their community treatment team, and their drug/alcohol center. TBH is not providing ANY of those services, and will not do so for years. In fact, given how long it took the initial facility to be built, it could take literal YEARS before TBH is able to provide all the mental health services they tout.

Pros

Some doctors and specialities are amazing. Some of the floors are amazing. Worked with amazing people here. Pay was good and educational benefits great.

Cons

Other floors and employees are toxic and bullies. Management equally bullied and only encouraged the problems. Staffing issues everywhere.
