      Corporate Culture - What a Joke

      Decent pay. Stability.

      Cons

      Executives have a huge racket going with their stock options (not surprising). HR is the absolute bedfellow of management and the company's culture promotes ineffective sycophants to management. They incessantly prate about their awesome "culture" but do not "live" it. All talk and pandering. The awesome people "out there" in the stores have been enslaved to pay for all the management's palaces in Brentwood and Franklin.

      Pros

      Excellent health benefits. 401k and ESSP are inline with the industry standard. High growth company, with lots of room for career advancement.

      Cons

      Payroll is becoming suffocatingly restricting, especially considering all of the tasking the SSC is pushing down to the stores. There, simply, isn't enough time in the day. Balance, employee morale, and customer service are taking the blunt of the impact of the payroll restrictions.

      When i first started, 15 years ago, The culture was all about the customers and team members. Joe Scarlett was the best CEO I had ever worked for. the culture he instilled in the company made TSC THE place to work and shop

      Cons

      as company's grow there culture shifts from taking care of our customers and team members to "do what i tell you, how I tell you to do it" more focused on tasks and the bottom line. Under Greg Sanford the culture has shifted away from the culture that made tractor supply a great place
