Pros

Most customers are great. The sponsorship program never denies and that’s a big plus.

Cons

Pay. Can’t say it enough. You get what you pay for.. Bad pay= bad service! There is nothing strong about that way the middle management is treated. You need help? Work more hours… what’s more important customer service or getting freight out? Answer is both. Problem is you can’t do both! Customers demand you be available for them but then get upset when the shelves are bare.. one person only has 2 hands! They use customer scores to write up managers…… even when the manager is almost dying of exhaustion! The answer we get… hire…. Hire??? Who? At 20 cents over min wage! Oh they can bonus.. Yes… IF we make sales. And that’s not easy when you don’t have the staff!! A bonus also shouldn’t be factored into a living wage… regional management is clueless… they want better than company standard and even that’s tough some days..

Pros

Good attempt at implementing company values. Great benefit package. Match 401k up to 6℅. Good stock purchase plan. Low cost health.vision and dental plans after 90 days Generous vacation, sick and personal days.

Cons

Very low pay compared to similar positions elsewhere. General disrespect of team members. Unbelievable turnover rate-its like a revolving door. A lot of gossip all the time in which managers participate. Every week it seems a different team member is targeted and you never feel confident you are safe in your position. They expect team members to work with very little resources including covering constant staff shortages. You are never told "Great job". They prefer to only talk to team members when they have done something wrong.Otherwise managers stay in their office and ignore team members.

Pros

Great benefits, health, dental, vision & life (very affordable). Company matches up to 6% (100% up to 3% and 50% up to 6%) of what you put into 401K. Store bonus program for all employees and employee discount of 15%.

Cons

They advertise balance as one of their values, but this company is becoming more and more concerned with making money rather than taking care of their employees, especially management. Store managers are expected to work 52+ hours a week with 6 days a week during busy season. The pressure of being a store manager isn't worth the whopping $45,000 I make a year. They are cutting back on payroll and hours worked for all other employees, which requires the store manager to make up for that deficit. When I started working for the company they were completely focused on their employees and a good working environment, they are slowly making the change to a corporate type environment.
