Pros

recruiters do a great job and your peers become your source of strength, your friends, and a huge comfort. They make the job fun sometimes. I've remained close with the friends I made while working at TransPerfect. relaxed dress code

Cons

low pay and very long hours Tense, stressed, and often hostile work environment poor management, bad communication and leadership You hear only 2 things from management: 1) you messed up, and you are getting a "verbal warning" ("you're inefficient" is a popular one, to demoralize their hard-working employees); or if someone is doing well, 2) you need to be taking on more work. (Simply meeting the demands of the job will not cut it. If you're good at it, management uses this against you to pile on more projects) Inflexible about vacation or time off. No lunch breaks. Office is drab, cheap, and in need of repair. Bathrooms are filthy. When working such long hours it would help if the place was less depressing, offered a cup of drinkable coffee, maybe even stocked the pantry with a few items... small price to pay to make employees feel less taken for granted.

Pros

If you're willing to work 100 hours a week, you'll probably get promoted, but you won't necessarily get more money

Cons

Work life balance is horrible - they are the biggest churn and burn company out there Phil hires his friends, so realize that he'll promote them before you Liz is an awkward, socially inept perfectionist - she will bite you Their game plan / MO is to keep hiring college graduates, making them work 80+ hours a week, get all they can from them, then treat them like crap and underpay them so they quit, then just hire again!

Very corporate. CEO is petty.

Pros

- Got me out of my previous job - Work was relatively easy - Insurance was better than I had before

Cons

- When COVID hit, they forced us to use all our PTO and then we stopped accruing it - I decided not to come back after maternity leave and they tried to make me pay them back for health insurance coverage - CEO would often send out emails saying how great the company was doing and how great revenue was, meanwhile employees are navigating life with COVID and no sharing of the revenue. Just really tone deaf. - Some production hubs were competent and some were absolutely not. But my boss got bonuses based on what hub you used. So, at times, I was forced to go with the sub-par hubs and give my clients less than perfect work so my boss could fatten his check. - Everyone is out for themselves. - No cohesive "team" attitude across company - Sales people can be total jerks - they view everyone else as "lesss than"
