Pros

You can work from home.

Cons

A disgruntled employee literally just sent out an email to the entire company last week about Transcom's terrible mismanagement and inability to get support in an emergency situation. Do you think we saw any change stem from that? No. You're more likely to get a paid vacation than a sick day, even if you're in an emergency situation. For perspective, working 5 months earned me an entire 8 hours of paid vacation. Their point "bucket" system is a disaster and they force you to work 60 consecutive days to earn back points so that if another emergency (an emergency being something that you CANNOT SCHEDULE) happens you can then be forced to work another 60 consecutive days. God help you if you punch in late because your system is forced into an update with no warning. The pay is terrible. Chat support - i.e. people who have the exact same job as you but don't have to listen to customers berate them with a headphone glued to their head for 10 hours - hire in at a higher wage than what T2 Tech support pays if you apply to other companies that support the same campaign. Policies change constantly but you don't have sufficient time to learn and understand the changes UNLESS Transcom gets dinged. In that case you'd better believe every team meeting for the next month is going to be on that 1 secular topic they're falling behind on rather than, you know, the plethora of new information we could be learning? The customer satisfaction surveys are intentionally designed to stop you from advancing too quickly. I had 90% satisfaction score. I got 8 new surveys in. 7 were satisfied, one was "somewhat dissatisfied". I went from 90% satisfaction to 82%. No matter how good, cheery, polite, and skilled you are on your calls, the surveys are a roulette but the company treats you like they're a direct reflection of your skills. They aren't. At all. The company is "gRoWiNg rApIdLy" with "soooo much room for advancement!!" which translates to the fact that they're hiring in mass, fast tracking training, and hurling hundreds of new advisors into support queues with shaky understandings of the content they're supporting. I've learned under 4 trainers while being shoved around to different roles and only one of them was worth a grain of salt. The company sends out monthly 'pulse checks' where you can express your concerns. They harp constantly about how they listen, but they don't. This job has so much potential to be great. Anybody could learn it and do well. The company knows this and as a result they give terrible conditions and when their turnover rate is a month or less they just hire in 200 more new advisors. Rinse and repeat. This job is ok if you don't have much going on. If you need to support yourself it doesn't pay enough. If you want to live a life outside of taking calls or if you want to go pee more than once a day without being yelled at for offline AUX? Apply literally anywhere else. I've worked all kinds of programs - this one is particularly crappy. The only people who legitimately like it are the weird rise-and-grind millennials who are ok sacrificing their life and health for less than $14 an hour and it's embarrassing.

Pros

Work from home, that’s it!

Cons

No work life balance. Non stopped phone calls. Low wages. The company Skims off the top of your paycheck, and they don’t pay you your last paycheck even though you send the work equipment back and the only way to get a hold of them is through email. This company has gone through a lot of lawsuits due to not paying their employees and the unethical ways they practice.

Pros

Pay is ok I guess.

Cons

Too many cons. Never good enough even with near perfect metrics. Company doesn't really care about employee. The most 3 miserable years of my entire life.
