Pros

The benefits are excellent. By far the best health insurance I've seen offered in Illinois. Flexiblity depending on what department you reside in.

Cons

Reorganization after acquisition of Conagra Private Brands has left many like myself with much more to be desired. People who should not be in positions of leadership are and those who should are not. It seems to be a “who you know” game. Opportunities for growth are hard to come by unless you have an 'in' with the hiring manager or can move mountains. Pay is mediocre. Work life balance exists and is wonderful if you have a manager who implores you to utilize this perk. There is a significant push to yet again revamp how things are down at THS but all it’s really doing is alienating the good ones well enough to leave as there is really no reward/benefit for loyalty.

Leadership Is a Major Problem

Pros

You can keep your job as long as you want, as long as you are willing to accept the torment of hating your life.

Cons

Leadership - Just today we announced a $400M Stock Repurchase. But we can't spend money on new technologies and new software. The company is in a tailspin because Sr Leadership doesn't recognize that people are absolutely miserable here. We have zero support from the top on improving culture, no one in management positions is held accountable for anything and everyday someone else is leaving the company. Until THS realizes that investing in culture, people, and things that satisfy their needs internally, this company will continue down the drain.

Pros

I can't think of any pros.

Cons

Senior management is unclear about expectations, and any direction given to next line of management is lost in translation. There is little empowerment for employees to manage their business responsibilities; micromanagement is very common. The company was not ready to take on the large private brands acquisition, and within months of the CEO saying they were not going to try to consolidate, the layoffs and closures began. The employees from the private brands side worked hard to integrate the business, only to receive pink slips for their efforts.
