Pros

If you work as directed, you will make more than $50k without a degree. There is no heavy lifting; you knock on doors and talk to people about the things happening in their lawns.

Cons

You will work 3,800 hours a year. You will knock on 100 doors a day, each logged into an iPhone. When it gets dark, you'll go to the office and call people until 9pm. You'll hate your life.

Pros

Base pay is good if you can live on $500.00 a week before deductions. Co-workers are the best part of the job.

Cons

Commission structure sucks. You have to sell your butt off to make 1%. Hours are horrendous..they lie to you about how many you will put in. Hope you like working in thunder storms, hail, sleet, etc. All they care about are the numbers. God forbid you need time off! No life/work balance with this company. You are paid a salary and work 70+ hours a week. Then you get switched to hourly and your hours get reduced to a maximum of 30 if you're lucky. Most sales staff gets laid off instead. They micromanage you by tracking you with a GPS in your phone....better not have to go to the bathroom while you are out on your route! 5 employees quit during my first 3 days!!!

NOT a family Company!!!

Pros

Decent pay (although not as much when you consider the hours)

Cons

Very long hours, could care less about employees, regardless of dedication and effort (you're just a number here). This is not a family company (at least not our branch). No Christmas party, no company picnic or family involvement whatsoever. Even when they have award dinners, spouses are not allowed to attend and they provide open bar and hotel rooms for the employees? Clearly no family values here, however, if you're looking for a company that will test your marriage, exclude your spouse & children, and leave you no free time to do anything else; it's great.
