Pros

there's room for advancement, but you have to be proactive in order to get raises, or chances to move up in the company. If you don't say something about wanting a raise, a better position within the company, or making sure to get the proper endorsements on your license, don't expect to get much out of management. Pretty similar to any other job, really. You get out of it what you put into it. Making it clear that you want to improve your position is the only way to get ahead here.

Cons

management isn't concerned with their employees wellbeing, and the customers? they're no longer people to management. Only accounts. All they care about is getting as many applications done in a day, no matter what the quality of those treatments might have been. The company will set up free service calls no matter what, so the tech that did the original application, very seldom is the one that has to clean up the mess. Not to mention the dealing with the angry customers.

Pros

It is a paycheck and decent benefits

Cons

Not good customer service friendly. Does customers wrong. Knowingly ignore customers when damage to their property and unwilling to compensate them.

Pros

Pay for performance - the harder working/higher performing employees are compensated as such. Advancement opportunity - I have watched myself, my peers, my supervisors, and my managers be promoted several times. Great outlook ahead - Recent merger with Scott's Lawncare Service supports the idea that TruGreen has a solid future. Truly a level playing field at entry level - I started working for TruGreen in 2010 seasonally, only to support me through my college degree. It is now 2016, and I successfully completed by Bachelor's degree, however, I am not looking for other work. Success at TruGreen is dependent only on your ability to learn on the job, and execute that knowledge.

Cons

Work/Life balance can get out of control in the busy season (about 6-8 weeks out of the year) - just like every other place of employment. Seasonal slowdowns occur, but TruGreen has a way of redirecting hard working employees who want to work later in the season to new job titles temporarily. Typically, seasonal layoffs are volunteer-based, long before any mandatory cuts are done, and by some are considered a perk of the job.
