Used to be a decent Company

Pros

Flexible hours, be your own boss. You have your own vehicle. Bonuses, if you cab get them.

Cons

This used to be a decent company to work for. I've been with the company for over 10 years, and I've seen a lot of changes, some good, some bad, and a lot that don't make sense. We used to have our own routes in zones of the city we work in. So we could get to know our customers, build a rapport with them and know their property. They did away with that a few years ago and now we drive all over the city, no set areas, treating over 1000 customers instead of a few hundred or less. This leads to more issues, more driving, which seems counterproductive considering the cost of gas nowadays. Half the trucks don't work and the ones that do, the equipment on them is old and always breaking down. So half the time you can't even treat a customers lawn properly. Management doesn't seem to be eager to fix these issues, but still expect you to perform just the same. We are constantly dealing with bad sales and problematic customers that affect our service rate and reaching our monthly bonuses. They will send you to unsafe properties, in unsafe weather conditions, in unsafe vehicles. We have managers that just phone it in and don't care. Also, don't expect to grow with the company as they don't like to promote hard working, knowledgeable employees. They would rather hire outside. If management doesn't care, how can they expect their employees too?
