Pros

good team... It feels like family. People are helpful. HR policies are good. work is challenging.

Cons

One individual has made entire data engineering toxic. Everyone knows who that individual is. Many of my colleagues have left most probably due to that individual. One left in December and one left in January. About a year and a half ago, another senior architect left because of him. My promotion was delayed 6 months because of his feedback. He has too much power. He also isn't gracious. Working with him is like being forced to drink vinegar.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you have a good team and overall feel that crew members are helpful. We conduct exit interviews and stay interviews regularly to allow for additional opportunities for feedback from our employees. Our data engineering leader also has regular skip level meetings with crew members providing another opportunity for feedback. It sounds like you may be having challenges with a colleague and so we encourage you to provide specific and direct feedback to your manager, your functional leadership team or People Business Partner to help address.

Pros

There are many positive changes happening at TrueCar, from having the right leaders in the right roles, working on the right products and anchoring our success on the right things: taking care of our people and goals. In the past few years, there has been and continues to be a transformative evolution at TrueCar. Our culture has vastly improved as a result.

Cons

If you're not ok with change and you're not ok with continuously evolving, then this is not the right place for you.

Pros

Well, there is a fair amount of schedule flexibility, but that's about all I can tell you.

Cons

Unprofessional, toxic culture, backstabbing, oh my. I was warned, but I didn't listen.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and provide your feedback. Building a results driven culture anchored on goals, inclusiveness, collaboration and courage is something of which as an organization we value and actively work on. Taking care of our people is our number one priority. With this in mind, over the past few years, we have hired some key leaders that will help drive our path forward by demonstrating those same values. To ensure we continue to be on the right path, we have open dialogue and conversations with our employees on a continuous basis through our engagement survey and organizational pulse checks. We have an employee engagement score above benchmarks for other technology companies and have an open communication loop that includes leadership regularly asking for direct feedback from all employees. The combined results reflect that we are on the right path in transforming our culture. The feedback we continue to receive from our employees, particularly those who have been with TrueCar for a long time, is that TrueCar’s culture many years ago is not TrueCar’s culture as of today. This transformation is something that we are not only proud of, but continue to cultivate. As we continue to further these efforts, this year we are launching our quarterly feedback cycle, enabling and empowering all our crew members to give and receive feedback regularly throughout the year, so that we continue to strengthen our culture and our values. As a leader in the company, we do encourage you to provide your feedback to the leadership team, your manager, a member of your People team or our anonymous feedback platform AllVoices.
