Pros

-Monthly Training -Incentive and moral boosting programs (bagels on Wednesday) -Good benefits -Advancement opportunities depending on department and openings -The firm is young and has a main goal of rapid progression, an applicant would need to be able to handle constant change to environment, staff and policy. However, I have seen employees that shares ideology with the founding partner thrive in the environment ESPECIALLY if coming from a military background.

Cons

-Stressful/ sometimes passive aggressive environment -Favoritism from upper management -Offers low compensation unless debated -High turnover, especially among managers without warning -HORRIBLE system implemented for attorney service recording and billing -Despite constant expansion, some departments are very under staffed so workload might be more than expected.

Pros

In the nearly five years I’ve been with the Firm, significant growth has occurred. This has allowed for several attorneys to become internally promoted. While there are billing/revenue requirements, they’re reasonable and allow for work/life balance. The Firm supports business development efforts, which allows even junior associates to build their name and brand. Each attorney has autonomy to pursue his/her cases, but there are always other knowledgeable attorneys available with whom you can strategize. Additionally, there are cross over practice areas such that if a client of mine has an issue outside my practice area, I can easily get the information and insight from someone with relevant knowledge.

Cons

There are billing revenue requirements for which everyone is held equally accountable. There is turnover (similar to what you would expect at any job/law firm).

Pros

Tully Rinckey is a great place to develop professionally alongside level-headed management who take the time to know attorneys in the firm and help them grow. Having a large firm presence with many peers who practice in the same or similar areas and are only a phone call or an email away encourages teamwork and collaboration, which I believe is necessary for professional growth. Administrative support is always available, and round-table discussions are not simply encouraged, but they are the norm. When staffing issues arise, they are resolved quickly and discretely, and someone is quick to step up to the plate to ensure coverage. While its attorneys grow professionally, the firm, too, has been growing beyond expectations. The firm's expansion is always a healthy topic for conversation, and leadership keep everyone apprised as to their progress and latest conquests.

Cons

A high-octane and fast-paced environment with consistent performance expectations is not for everyone. Those who work well under pressure and avoid issues created by others quickly rise to the top, while others who do not produce consistently and focus their time and effort on extraneous issues find it difficult to adapt to life at Tully Rinckey.
