Revolving door of lawyers running for the exit

Pros

The cases I had was essential as a stepping stone for me

Cons

The owner treats us, even lawyers, like disposable tools, offering brutal hours and horrible pay while expecting perfection. We were on call 24/7, yet there was no overtime pay! Zero support and constant pressure to bill more hours, no matter the toll on your health. I spoke up about unfair workloads, and management instantly turned me into an enemy. Fairness doesn't exist here, and complaints go ignored. The turnover rate is so high that no lawyer would stay here for a year. Steer clear!

Pros

This is an excellent place to work for new attorneys. I grew tremendously during my time there. I received excellent mentorship from the attorneys at the office - they were patient, helpful, and always available to guide me. I was treated extremely well, given numerous opportunities to grow, my own caseload, and entrusted with significant responsibilities. For people looking to work here, expect top-notch mentorship, opportunities to develop professionally, and significant amounts of responsibility. You will become a better attorney and strengthen your professional confidence here. I'm genuinely thankful for the opportunities and mentorship I received there. The only reason I left was to be back with my family on Long Island. Other than that, I loved everything about working there: the firm, the people, the culture, and the way everything was organized and set up.

Cons

This isn't really a con per se, but before you run to your supervising attorney with a question, you should at least do your research and try to find the answer on your own. And if you're dealing with a problem during your assignment and need guidance, try to propose a well-informed solution to your supervisor instead of going to them empty-handed. It's good practice and will make you better.
