Pros

Shared van pool, free coffee, a strong soutg asian community (Indian, Pakistani, and napalese), the peer review system is very helpful

Cons

The management is ineffective and are mostly white male, the company culture is still white centric, salary is below par, promotion does not give a big boost of salary.

Pros

If you do your job at even a slightly better than mediocre level you can float until you're ready to retire. Good amount of internal resources to figure out your job but you have to turn to those a lot on your own time to exceed that float. The company's install base means it will most likely survive any short term problems without risk to employment. Most roles aren't micromanaged if you do your work. Decent benefits.

Cons

Customers can't maintain their existing suites because of how complicated everything is but more options continue to come out and employees aren't trained well enough to implement or support the software that's already in customers hands. This means most workdays involve getting caught with your pants down if you're in a customer facing role. 80-20 rule is in pretty much every product's teams. Internal positions usually go to who's most "in" instead of who would be best suited for the job.

Pros

Tyler is a great overall company to work for. They are a leader in providing software solutions to the public sector. The Courts and Justice division is rapidly growing, so there is opportunity for many.

Cons

Professional Services lacks good management and guidance. Initial onboarding training is general use of software which is not good enough depending on what project you are assigned. Employees are expected to learn specific configuration, use of software and local business processes on their own. Promotions are given based on who you know/who you are friends with and not merit or knowledge base. Low salary compared to other companies in the industry. Excessive work hours.
