A sad decline

Pros

With the write team and managers, you can find ways to feel appreciated. Still in a hybrid work environment. Benefits are decent. If you happen to be in a grade level higher than 12, bonus is decent.

Cons

No personal cubicle or office, need to reserve for each day you will be in the office. The tracking for in office time is not accurate based on each individual employee but instead is tracked using a matrix that causes some to have to be in more than three days a week if they take any time off. Oh and the leadership committee calls the employees selfish for wanting them to think of the employees while trying to navigate challenges instead of only the investors. Two things can both be important.

Employees not valued

Pros

Pay, Bonus pay, PTO, Benefits

Cons

Enterprise leadership has changed multiple times creating dramatic organizational changes and each time the focus becomes less and less about the employees and more on the company’s bottom line. There is not a happy median any longer caring for both the employee needs and the company’s profitability. For a company that boasts inclusion and care for the community, it doesn’t provide this to its own employees. The company values blanket wide policies over impacts these policies have on their employees. There are less opportunities for growth within the company unless you live specifically where the job is posted, no longer are you able to work across the enterprise in different states, remote work has been eliminated even for those who were hired in their current role as remote long before 2020.

Pros

* Team members (outside of leadership) and across the enterprise are collaborative and want to make significant contributions with their time and energy. * Compensation = standard for the industry * Decent employee programs such as volunteer and giving

Cons

There was a time when the culture at U. S. Bank was amazing. Employee's could count on a certain balance from the executive management team through the front line. Much has changed since Richard Davis left the bank. * Substantial lack of accountability from mid-level and functional managers (2020 to present) * Lack of adherence to company core values by many mid-level operations, technology, and Program managers * Internal breakdowns in communications and directives between Executive, Senior, and Mid-level leadership
