Pros

Benefits The grunt workers are good people. The people actually doing the work are all amazing and the only reason I gave 3 stars.

Cons

Mostly McKinsey and business people in senior technical leadership positions that have never delivered software. No understanding of what it's like to be a software engineers bc they haven't done the job. Software maintenance is neglected and under prioritized Engineers are under constant stress trying to keep production afloat while delivering on projects. Contractors are all offshore and 50% of them need constant babysitting.

Pros

Most of the people I worked with on a daily basis were great and cared about the work and did the best they could within some really cumbersome legacy systems and processes. Pay was competitive for my role.

Cons

While the people on the ground are mostly great, many of the leaders I encountered, especially at the SVP level, were insanely toxic. Micromanaging, retaliation, favoritism, incompetence, indifference, and outright lying were rampant among the higher levels. At times, the culture feels like a cult, or at the very least, an emperor's new clothes situation. Add to that the constant layoffs and various inefficiencies with process, outdated systems, and siloed teams and you end up with a place where it feels like you are almost actively discouraged from trying to make progress or improvements or even being able to do your job. It wasn't quite this bad when I first started but by the time I quit, it truly became one of the worst places I've ever worked.

Pros

Benefits, pay, VTO, and being remote

Cons

This company cares nothing about their employees or the customers. They constantly micromanage. The policy’s change every week it seems like. The calls are back to back and they want you to be a robot. They complain about you putting a customer on hold but managers take so long in the teams chat to assist us. And when you first start they give you nice raises but after the first year you get nothing but maybe some merch from the company. They also have no policy put into place for the unhappy customers so you’re forced to get screamed and cursed at until the customers are done and hang up. And managers blatantly REFUSE to take escalations.
