Pros

Highly visible government agency that is mission driven. Depending on which office you work in; there are opportunities to travel and see the work done by agents and officers.

Cons

Management isn't held accountable for anything and seems to be rewarded through promotions for bad behavior. Managers are rated on their leadership skills without any feedback from employees. Developing employees to become top performers is not a priority to managers. It seems that the agency would rather continue to pay contractors than invest in their own employees.

Pros

Pay, benefits, employee protections, Officer development.

Cons

Management is scared of it's own shadow. Can be mundane. Paperwork for the smallest of tasks.
