Pros

Modern technology stack Great work life balance Company enable market liquidation and allow people to buy houses. Feel good to see that your work is making a big impact to common people Great CEO and a transparent C suite

Cons

I feel the biggest cons is company senior management. Most of the VP’s, Sr. directors and directors have less than 15 reports. Many actually have much fewer. Best they are working at a manager capacity, but enjoying heavy perks of senior executives(big big bonuses). It leaves very little space for middle management to grow and eventually the associates. Career path is almost negligible unless they chuck out more than 50% of senior management. Especially; technology executives (VP, Sr Directors and directors) are not much technical and only does micro managing and reporting chores. No good leadership and vision comes from this layer. And this a common theme across all big organization. Secops, technology and PMO.

Thank you for your feedback. It's exciting to see your positive thoughts, particularly your appreciation for the difference we're making in America's housing finance industry. And I'm grateful for your ideas on how we can become a better company. While we've made strides in many areas of our organization, I recognize we have more work to create opportunities for our people. That's something I'm committed to improving. If you're comfortable sharing more of your thoughts, please feel free to email me any time. I'm always here to listen and learn. Thank you, Tony Renzi, CEO, CSS

Pros

Personnel management very intent on being accommodating to employees. Technology is pretty strong. Compensation is through the roof compared to similar DC area companies. Diverse employee base, commitment to keep it that way. CEO very engaging, weekly town halls keep us together

Cons

No growth opportunity. They overloaded on management during our inception and now it is too top heavy. While compensation is very high here, the downside is no one will leave on their own because of this, therefore newer employees have no opportunity to advance. New business opportunities are non-existent in the short run, though with some patience we may get some down the road.
