Lack of communication - no one knows what’s going on within the company. Expected to do more after layoffs but taking away benefits from SV associates like remote work and flexibility.

Great stepping stone to a better job at a better company.

Cons

This company has been on a downward decline for a decade and it’s evident almost everywhere you look. Procurement system is from 70’s, office building hasn't been updated since the 80’s, upper management has been with the company 20-30+ years at the minimum( which stands in sharp contrast to the average buyer lasting just under a year). Micromanaging is at the heart of the office culture, zero freedom is given to develop skills beyond placing PO’s and chasing down late trucks.

Pros

Lots of opportunities for overtime. First-level management (supervisors) were great. Great co-workers.

Cons

Management will literally harass and threaten you. HR is useless and turns all issues back on the employees. Employees were sleeping in their cars because we worked so long, and had to come back next morning. Management told them they had no excuse to be tired or to not hit rate. Management asked an employee to reschedule his wedding so he could come in for mandatory OT.
