Pros

I like the campus. There are some people who are talented.

Cons

Looks very political to me. Unclear career path.

Pros

Most employees are very nice and the company weathered the Great Recession rather well.

Cons

It is actually a very nice place to work.

Pros

You get a lot of practice helping members with their financial goals. The phones are always busy, with someone needing help.

Cons

Good corporate reimbursement for college and advance degree programs. I finished my MBA from a top 25 program, and USAA helped with around 40% of the costs. The drawback is there aren't many positions in the Phoenix area for career advancement for an MBA caliber person. You could relocate to San Antonio, but as a homeowner, $80,000 upside down, that's not likely to happen.
