Pros

Pay is decent, benefits are great, facilities are wonderful. They pay for licenses required for the job, as well as give you $5,000 per year to use towards education. 8% dollar for dollar math on 401(k) is unbeatable.

Cons

Work can be stressful if you are on the phone. There seems to be a communication barrier between senior management, middle management, and employees. Things change almost daily with little or no notification or training to new procedures.

Pros

Great office environment and wonderful benefits. The time off program is second to none. Compensation is fair.

Cons

The call center is too stress-ful. There is too much work and not enough time to complete it all.

Pros

Compensation package is generous. Yearly corporate performance bonus, holiday bonus, extra days off during holidays, 8% savings and investment plan matching. Highly active in community - lots of volunteer opportunities like Habitat for Humanity, yearly United Way campaign and holiday 'Season of Sharing' fundraising drive. Our members are primarily the military community. In times like these, it's a pleasure and privilege to serve those who serve us so selflessly. The company is undergoing a culture change. This is the time for innovative thinkers and people who thrive on challenge to roll up their sleeves and help straighten out areas that need it. Ideas are appreciated when presented thoughtfully, in a positive and non-accusatory manner. USAA has a new CEO who is making an effort to get back to basics.

Cons

Work and personal life balance is a struggle. You'll work hard for every single penny earned. Change is difficult, not just for employees to accept but in the way it is communicated and introduced. Management is arguably unaware of the challenges facing the front line employee. Direct line managers have little authority and don't always have a background in the area they manage. Could also use more accountability in management. Process is king. In an effort to keep management in the loop, we implement process upon process. Duplication of effort is rampant.
