Pros

This company has a wonderful work environment! There are many events throughout the year that help to encourage a friendly and fun atmosphere, including cookouts, potluck lunches, celebratory dinners, and holiday parties. Occasionally the office will even close early before major holidays, which helps encourage a happy and positive attitude amongst the employees. In addition, there are great opportunities for career growth and promotion within the company. They also do a great job recognizing hard-working employees, and reward them accordingly. This is a growing company who is working hard on diversifying and adding to their current customer base. This leads to a quick paced environment with new challenges each day.

Cons

While growth and additional customers are certainly a good thing in the long run, it does lead to some growing pains with increased workloads throughout the company.

Pros

The salary is decent, most of management is decent, micromanaging hasn't been a problem at all. Working from home is not encouraged, but hasn't been an issue for the couple times it's been needed. No solid 9-5 hours which is nice, able to get in early and leave early to avoid traffic.

Cons

Total seclusion from coworkers. Everyone is in their offices by themselves, almost no collaborative interaction at all. You just sit in your box and do the work your manager gives you. I've gone weeks before with nothing to work on, even after begging my manager for something to work on. Some people may see that as a plus, but I really don't. Organization is minimal at best and procedures change from one project to the next. Office chairs are old, uncomfortable, and falling apart. Code is all clunky, proprietary, and home-grown, no transferable skills at all. No documentation exists for any of it either, everything is hive-mind and known by management so they feel no need to write any kind of documentation for the code or the engine it's running on. There's not even a solid ORG chart, work can come from anyone in management, some of whom are incredibly hard to work with.
