I'm glad to hear that our easy-going nature suited you and that you enjoyed assisting our customers. I am disappointed to hear that our management team did not seem consistently nice regardless of our seasonal demand. Our Customer Service team relies heavily on metrics to understand how our representatives are serving our customer, which should make sure that we have our high performers stay on for as long as possible. I appreciate you sharing this feedback and will check in with our CS Managers to ensure that our process is thoughtful and continues providing our customers with the award-winning customer service that they deserve. Best, Seam

Pros

The people are smart, collaborative, kind, and wonderfully unique. Everyone cares immensely about the company's mission and works with genuine dedication. One of my favorite things about the culture is that we rarely outsource and prefer to develop expertise in house, which has resulted in a team of very talented, intelligent individuals who feel full ownership over their roles and are willing to share that knowledge with others. It's a true learning environment that benefits the company as well as our personal career growth as employees. It's become fashionable for companies to have a social mission and use that as a marketing vehicle, which is ok, but UncommonGoods truly believes in doing the right thing. It's why the company exists and is part of every decision we make. The CEO and leadership team genuinely want to use business as a force for good - whether they get credit for it or not. Lastly, we're not a startup that relies on investment money, extremely optimistic business plans, and unsustainable promotions. The company operates creatively but with sound business sense and a focus on profitability.

Cons

It's not in the most convenient/fun location and the interview process can be a little intense.
