Pros

Not in an office all day everyday, ability to move up in the company if you stick around long enough (most don't and you'll find out why)

Cons

Salary is way less than what reps make in other industries or with other competitors, poor commission structure (when you do the math it's less than 1%), unrealistic expectations, quota doesn't take into account your territory. Spend more time doing pointless tasks than actually getting to do the job you signed up for- selling. Negative management, lack of support, boss uses fear tactics and threats instead of motivation. Overworked, underpaid. And you aren't even fully compensated for your mileage, it is capped (I was only compensated for 290 even though most weeks I drove over 800 miles)

Thank you for your feedback. It always saddens us whenever any UniFirst Team Partners feels their experience in our organization is a negative one. Moving forward, we hope you’ve found a better fit for yourself.

Pros

Met a few nice people.

Cons

The money they say you will make is a joke. Micromanagement is also ridiculous. Managers manipulate your own sales to fit their financial goal timeline. Which means you wait forever for commission. They also take money out of your commission after the sale if the client does not buy enough in their first 13 weeks. The five week training process is insane and very out of date. Every company in the business uses the exact same tactics and are sick and tired of the lines everyone uses. There is no relationship between sales and operations. It's like they fight against one another. Healthcare is not good either but at least they offer it.

Pros

Base salary is decent and medical/dental wasn't too bad.

Cons

Bad /toxic environment. Management constantly revising practices & procedures. Micromanaged daily with punitive abrupt meetings throughout the week. If you are related to management, your job is secured. They will work with you, otherwise you're pretty much on your own. Call blocks are monitored by management so they will sit next to your desk to listen to your call. Management will verify (call client) whether your appointment you booked is legitimate. So rethink if you would be happy working in such an environment.

Thank you for your feedback. Please understand it is a requirement for our managers to be involved during our weekly call blocks to coach and help their Sales Teams. It is not meant as punitive, but a way to help our Sales Professionals grow and improve their appointment setting skills.
