Pros

Freedom to make your own schedule, good base salary, and you get to meet people from all walks of life daily.

Cons

They make you come into the office and perform a phone block, which is just another way for them to monitor you making phone calls. The worst part about this job is, if you don't turn a new account in every 2 weeks you will be placed on a plan.

Thank you for your review! Many find the freedom that a Sales Career offers to be a major plus. We are also glad to hear that you found the compensation to be a good fit. Our industry is very unique in that we get to work with so many different types of business on a daily basis. Phone Blocks are a chunk of time set aside each week for our Salespeople to set themselves up for success in the weeks to come by calling on businesses and Setting Appointments. The telephone is the most efficient way to reach as many business as possible in a short amount of time, which is why they are mandatory. We want our Salespeople in the office for Phone Blocks so that your Sales Manager has the opportunity to coach and provide you with feedback to strengthen your telephone skills.

Sales Representive

Pros

You get a base salary and mileage as well a company sponsored 401 (k) and annual stocks after 2 years. You don't have to travel overnight outside your sales territory.

Cons

There is very little opportunity to advance within the company unless you are willing to move. There is also a culture from management to say what is "right" but do what is right for them financially. As a sales representative you are treated as a dime a dozen and the turn over is outrageous!!! After selling an account you have to install the dispensers and take the product yourself because management does "NOT" support the sales efforts......

Thank you for your feedback and your years of service. We are happy to hear you are taking advantage of our many benefits. The installation of Facility Service hardware is handled on a case by case basis depending on the size of the Account, the size of the UniFirst Location, and how busy all Team Partners are. And, yes – when everyone’s super busy Salespeople may be asked to chip in. It is true that if you have a desire to advance to a Management Position a willingness to relocate is a plus. However, we do have a well-defined Career Path for Sales Representatives which includes the opportunity to become a Team Leader and/or a Senior Sales Consultant at your Location. Some of the benefits of both include a pay raise and a quarterly bonus based on maintaining your Weekly Sales Average. To find out more about our Sales Career Path check out our Career Path for Sales FY2016 on our Intranet Site and speak with your Sales Manager about applying.

Pros

although a large company, still run like a family business, the Croatti's are very active and very approachable. This company has fantastic benefits, competitive pay, and really strong leadership. General Managers are very strong and there is very little turnover in leadership

Cons

90-day waiting period for benefits.
