Pros

Autonomy. Work/Life Balance is good if you allow it to be. Good training. Pleasant colleagues. Good for a fresh out of highschool or college stepping stone into more profitable companies. Recruiters pull from UniFirst and Cintas very often. The commission and bonus structure is decent but not conducive for longevity inside the company. Positive atmosphere ***As long as you are producing. If you make it past a year you can possibly break 100k. Unfortunately the same amount of work will net you a much much higher pay selling for most other industries.

Cons

Not a good fit for an experienced salesrep. Low base salary paired with long sales cycles can leave you thin. The small readily available accounts won't get you where you want to go. They are more of a hassle than a benefit to your funnel and time. No traditional raises. You can acquire a "Team Lead" position which comes with a meager raise. Your salary will still be below average. High end (if you ignore your work/life balance) is at most 110-120,000 in your 3rd year...possibly second year. One and done sales. No account management after signing. Your reputation and name are in the hands of the service team and leadership. Alot of squeezing for a very light amount of juice. If you are in a plant you have a higher chance of breaking into 6 figures. If you are in a branch you better be a sales wizard. Sell everything.....but not everything is available for you to sell. Branches are limited based on what their plant will supply. Opportunities for advancement are slim. Shoot for medical/tech/pharma sales.

Pros

Good paycheck Excellent office staff Route Manager(s)

Cons

This is an extensive list so maybe someone will pay attention….. Culture is awful, majority of employees hate coming to this location starting with… PRODUCTION. Warehouse workers are paid less than Walmart order pullers and people that put carts away at Target yet are expected to produce like people making $45/hr. Going on three weeks where the a/c is broken and warehouse temps been consistently in the 100s. Corporate would rather push policy after policy instead of taking care of its people. OFFICE. CSRs are completely overworked, overwhelmed and waaaaay underpaid due to the system they were handed. ABS has destroyed the position to where it is impossible to catch up. SERVICE. Never have I been part of a culture where the department that generates all the revenue gets all of the blame. Production failures its the RSRs fault. ABS failures its the RSRs fault. Missing clothes and cannot deliver unavailable product its the RSRs fault. Customers don’t pay its the RSRs fault. Not only do RSRs take all the blame they are required to stay out on the route till 1130 and wait to leave at one even if the job is done without pay. Required training and meetings without pay. OTHER There is no future. You will be used until you have no reason to stay. Promotions come with a paycut, increased hours and extra bs. Purchased a competitor whose CSRs are paid a higher commission rate for the same exact job. No reason to trust corporate ZERO LIFE WORK BALANCE
