Pros

Great benefits, great clinical staff

Cons

Administration knows nothing about the needs of clinical employees. They're numbers-oriented and do not show any concern about the safety of the employees.

Pros

If you are lucky, you get to become friends with other co-workers who also feel this is a toxic place managed by very unqualified recent hires.

Cons

If you don't completely drink the kool aid, the CEO will decide you are not on his team. If you are not good at cronyism, you will be seen as insubordinate. Input is discouraged, and you will be seen as a problem if you even dare to do so. Most of the most talented and brightest employees have either left or been terminated. In order to raise census, the hospital is now taking patients they know they cannot help, very unethical. There is no room for growth if you were an employee before the current CEO. Was actually told by CEO that an direct job was not open to current employees, only outsiders. He wanted "his people". I believe this is against UHS policy. The best career move I ever made was NOT WORKING THERE.

Pros

flexibility in schedule. Good benefits.

Cons

Terrible pay. No room for advancement. People who work hard dont get compensated. They just receive more work. People who are lazy just get away with doing nothing. coworkers are very nosey and gossip too much. No real training. You just sit with people at their desk and watch them work. Have to use your pto for vacation days.
