Pros

As an interpreter, you choose your jobs. No minimum required. They have the HCA contract so most of the jobs are going to them, making them attractive solely for that reason. They just moved to a fancy beautiful building. ((No free parking anywhere. I just went there recently and despite having a big beautiful reception, there is no one anywhere. I had to walk passed the "staff only" sign and yell "hello????!!!!" for someone without any people skill to stick their head out of the office to see what the noise was. I was told to wait and wasn't given any update for over 10 minutes. The office is like a ghost town.)

Cons

Very unorganized company. For example, I have waited 4 weeks for a reply recently, while reminding them every week that I still didn't have my answer. When after writing to them every week for four weeks I finally got a reply, it was not signed and only answered half of my concern. Such a waste of time trying to get a hold of anyone there. (Except for Andrew in accounting. He is the best) Very heavy turnaround. People never stay very long. I can imagine it gets to be stressful to work there. This summer they sent an email saying there was a change of pay for certain job, which was about 20% higher than these jobs usually are, and they said the pay was flexible. Then they send the very next day the same jobs with a completely different amount. When i replied to ask which it was, i was told the regular pay. They create a "ticket" for every email problem, but do not follow up on it. The website hasn't been undated since I started with them over 6 years ago. Many links, email addresses, and phone numbers don't even exist anymore but are still listed there! They have a line for praise or complaint but there is never any follow up.

Pros

Cool clients and customers to work with

Cons

Probably some of the most inefficient managers and a CEO who has no respect for your time or space. They will milk every hour from you if you let them because they cannot retain staff to meet their needs. Expect promises to be broken. Every word of every negative review holds immense weight. They will openly berate, scold, and humiliate you in front of other staff and clients. Their morals and way of thinking are backwards and questionable. I do not expect them to retain their “success” in the long term.

Pros

Initial manager was great - communicative and proactive, but then they left after about 6 weeks. Some in IT department are solid.

Cons

Micromanagement to the extreme They don't know their own product/software and the limitations thereof, are easily confused by technology They say things are in a handbook, but aren't They don't want team members talking to one another, but don't provide information to the whole group at the same time They remote into your device without warning or a heads up They make it a hassle to use accumulated PTO and sick time, but don't pay out when leaving the company They likely falsify time cards They over-recruit then cut people to a PRN position Low pay, not near industry standard They don't educate the client/end user on how to use the software
