Pros

Great teamwork, lots of loyalty especially from 20-30 year employees. Health insurance still inexpensive, but have to wait a long time to see Primary Physician and specialists.

Cons

Cutting benefits, not giving appropriate merit increases to save money. Giving the Hospital President $150,000 raises every year and a bonus of $165,000. Too many changes implemented simultaneously. Employees have change fatigue.

Pros

Assisting client was very rewarding.

Cons

A lot of negativity from UHS employees, who offer you to help you out and then they will go up to management to complain about you taking their time. Staff do whatever they want and clock in and instead of starting to work they take off to the cafeteria. They so many "breaks" and no one says anything. No wonder why they are so behind with the workload!

Pros

Shiny new main campus; is a teaching institution attached to UT health science center.

Cons

Federal law mandates private rooms= hellishly long hallways for nurses to traipse. The halls are each two football fields in length. Annual revue not done until seven months after* it was due; received raise only on paper. Was promised raised would be retroactive from original review date, up & including those 7 months. Both myself and super repeatedly called & emailed HR/Administration; all administration does is ignore, not*** pay out the raise...EVER. That shiny new main campus costs about a billion $; of course they're not going to honor that lump sum raise, in any* way. I've heard it dozens and dozens of times, seen it happen several, & had it finally happen to me--> HR/Administration will never, ever, ever* back up/ support their own employees when some ignorant visitor or patient makes even a totally baseless complaint.
