Pros

Good easy job to get. No background check. No drug test. Easy interview process. Out of college easiest job to get. Free parking garage spot.

Cons

Horrible, I mean terrible environment to work in. If you want to debate quitting everyday this job is for you. Company is still running from when Jim Anderson founded it, no advancement. Terrible upper management. Senior Managers and Account Executives just care about the work being done rather than caring for it people. No flexible hours, don't even dare to try and ask. Interview and Job description does not thoroughly describe the job you will be doing. SQL exam is required if you work for ChannelVantage and they do not tell you that up front. If the exam is not passed you will be fired. No development advancement. Lots expected from you at an entry level job. Industry low in terms of salary. 60k for the amount of work is unacceptable. Annoying process of completing time sheets bi-weekly on a horrible platform. Keep track of your time as if you are an intern. Micromanagement at its finest. Daily meetings to discuss what and what you are not working on. Unethical to its clients. Billing more than needed when it doesn't take that long. Not looking for development because that will cut from their profits they are charging the client. One Work From Home a month. Summer Hours consists of 2 days in a month you get to leave 2 hours early which you must make up within the week anyways. I ask that any candidate looking at this review and Glassdoor to be very aware prior to finding a job. You may also read other reviews on this website as they correlate. Don't be fooled because I was. You will be finding yourself looking for a new job within months. If you do get fooled just pay attention to the amount of turnover emails you get of people leaving the company.

As the Chief Human Resources Officer Urban Science, I am always disappointed to learn of an employee’s concerns after they have left the company. As you move on to other phases in your career, I encourage you to openly express your concerns so that a company can address them and correct any misperceptions that you have. Certainly, had you expressed your concerns to me or other members of our Human Resource team, we would have easily addressed those concerns and any misconceptions you have about the company. I wish you much success and hope you achieve your career goals in the future. Rebecca Gualdoni Chief Human Resources Officer

Pros

Good work life balance if you want to throw away any meaningful hope you have of staying current on any new technology.

Cons

If you have a technical mind, do your best and find another company. They will pay you a substandard amount, and your mind will slowly rot away while using a home built framework built on .net 2.5. Management is too busy trying to please clients with a terribly performing product instead of investing in the people or the technology. Generally the smart people all leave cause they want more of a challenge whereas the sheep stay to make an easy cheap paycheck.

Pros

Great People Depending on Team, New Development Relaxed Work Environment

Cons

Upper Management has no clue what is going on. Lot of emphasis on more revenue every year, but no emphasis and research and development, so we are stuck with stale old products. Depending on what team you are on, you could be happy or miserable.
