Pros

The only pro that comes to mind is nnot having to deal with people

Cons

Severe lack of communication from the top to bottom. What is communicated seems to be shrouded in a lack of planning, direction and company problems. The offered "part time" of 3 to 4 hours turns into 5 to 8 especially with the high turnover and mismanagement of personnel. There is no real room to advance. Taking on responsibility of higher up people with minimal compensation so they can sit around isn't advancement. Without clear job requirements, it can vary greatly depending on the management of the area. All around, I don't think I have seen a company this lacking in documentation and job responsibilities.

Pros

There are SOME really good human beings working here.

Cons

Doorstep trash collection is a great concept but the execution needs much improvement. Way too much emphasis on an app that doesn't work for everyone. Suggestions have been ignored that would hold lazy property managers and defiant residents accountable. Non-compliant residents burn out Valets. Horrible turnover equals poor product quality. Wage hasn't changed for valets in years and still no compensation for usage of trucks, fuel, data plans and cell phones

Thank you for taking the time to share a review. I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience during your time here. As a growing business, we will always have opportunities where we can be better. We continue to work closely with our internal teams and clients to ensure we deliver an exceptional experience to residents. This includes reinforcing guidelines on our collection standards. In response to your comment regarding compensation for our Valets; we have invested heavily over the past 2 years in making market adjustments to hourly pay, increased referral bonuses 5x the original amount, added sign-on bonuses for new Valets in various markets and offered retention bonus contests for all Valets. While it's true we don't directly reimburse those using their own trucks for fuel consumption, we do pay them higher in the range at a rate of $3 or more per hour above the standard pay rate. Thanks again for taking the time to leave this review . We wish you the best in your career.

Pros

Immediate supervisors were great, solid benefit structure.

Cons

Very frequent turnover, valets not paid enough even going over budget so they frequently quit. You'll end up pulling trash, and your 'off' time will be spent recruiting. They pitch it as 'split shift' but they expect you to be visiting properties and answering emails during day time even if they don't come out and say it. You'll end up hauling trash a good bit, there's no way to recruit enough and as frequently as necessary unless you're part of a lucky minority. This is not the company where you want to end up I assure you.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I'm glad to hear that you had a positive experience with your managers and found value in our benefits offered. I'm sorry that you did not have a great experience during your time here. Our District Managers have a challenging job and it's true that recruiting and employee engagement is a big part of the role. While we still have work to do, we have secured the necessary resources to provide support to our District Managers with hiring and also equip them with the tools and resources to be successful in their local markets. Thanks again for taking the time to leave this review and we wish you the best in your career. If there is any additional feedback you would like to share with us, please send me an email to antonio.fiorentino@valetliving.com
