Pros

There are other companies that pay more. 401k matching. Competitive paid time off. Competitive health insurance. Education and licenses. Some other perks.

Cons

Cash compensation including salary and partnership. Management is drone-like. Outdated performance management method. Management more focused on politics and self preservation than the crew, functions, and company. Management perpetually cries broke but doesn't release their salary related information. Board of directors and senior executives have little to no turnover / change. Poor management is protected, sometimes with ignoring the issue.

Pros

Only real pros are the amount of days off you get (starts at 18) and the insurance package. The health benefits are super confusing and not well explained to you but if you do some research and call the insurance company a few times, you find out it's pretty good.

Cons

I continuously have a feeling of stress and dread when I walk into work. Everyone is overworked and severely under-appreciated. Management sees you as a body and while some people are willing to help you in small ways, mostly everyone just looks out for themselves. Recognition for your job is nonexistent and they think that forcing people to work a half hour lunch and then buying you 2 slices of pizza is engaging. Yes, they stand there and watch how much food you take. It is an insanely conservative company that does not appreciate new ideas or change and really has no idea how to be inclusive. Not just of different types of people but also across rank. Management could care less what you say and your opinions do not matter unless it has the potential for a lawsuit or could cost them money. If you are progressive and in any way different than a cookie cutter white male with a finance degree, good luck finding success here.

Pros

Benefits. 37.5 hr work week. Pto if able to use. Licensing.

Cons

Managers unable to manage. Micro managing. Significant attrition. There are about 750 people in retain. They had about 500 people leave so about 70% of the department are new and do not know what to do. This includes management and the reason i left. People do not knowwhat they are doing nor do managers know what they are doing. Blind leading the blind. I will always keep my money there because the product is great. But the process is broken. Management does not want to promote out of retail because they have a significant struggle hiring enough people to fill empty seats. They are at the point that they have lowered standard of who they hire just to get a warm body in a seat. The one thing you should know is they will license you but that is not your job. You still use 5% of the knowledge you gain through licensing. The rest of your time is resetting passwords or helping old people login to their account or change addresses. They call you a.m. investment professional but that is not what you do. Management fools themselves with this notion.
