      Pros

      SMEs in SAR. No dress code. Free soda fountain. Flexible work schedule.

      Cons

      Owned by Advent International (private equity firm), slicing and dicing the company, layoffs, sell offs, etc.. It is a sinking ship right now. Outdated practices, processes and software. Some teams do not even use CM software. Enjoy your waterfalls here. Hiring process needs to be redefined to attract younger, smarter talent. Executives preach the company's core values, but do not follow these values in their day-to-day. Maxar is easily three to five years behind the market standard. Every program I have seen is a total disaster where no one knows what to do or how to do it. The company's vision is as blurry as ever right now and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

      On a sharp downward trend

      Pros

      Good, smart coworkers. The front line people are very high quality and eager to help. Unlimited PTO, which you're actually encouraged to use (at least with my manager).

      Cons

      Management is out of touch. Raises for the best team members (unicorns) are 2.5% or lower. 1/5th of the bonus promised at hiring (others got even less). Remote work is rescinded; everyone is being forced back into the office (unless you were hired as 100% remote and don't live near an office, but I feel like our time is running out). Software tools that increase productivity (Slack) are being phased out despite major pushback (lots of processes will have to be redesigned from the ground-up, which will waste more money than it saves). HR really drags their feet when it comes to promoting the one or two heroes that make product launches happen on time (which requires working nights and weekends). Management is penny-wise but pound foolish. Recommend looking elsewhere if you have options.
