      Anyone below the C suite is incredibly overworked, PE- influenced strategic direction doesn't align with the company's strengths, and the best talent in both engineering and CX is actively fleeing the company

      Thank you for your feedback. Our most important strength as a company are our values of Service, Humility, Excellence, and Inclusion which are shared by many, if not all of our global clients. We strive every day to live into those values in support of our employees and clients. We have taken many steps to address work/life balance and continue to work on this. Also, while some team members have elected to pursue other opportunities, our employee retention rate has remained consistently high over that last two years and is well ahead of similar tech companies' post-pandemic retention metrics. Additionally, over 20% of our new hires this year were from employee referrals. Thank you again for your feedback and we encourage our team members to continue to share their experiences with us so we can continue to make Magnus Veracross a great place to work.

      Pros

      An awesome set of people working with a great clientele (schools). Fun environment, and people care a lot about what they do. Lots of growth.

      Cons

      Difficult product to learn, complex responsibilities.

      Culture isn't the issue - Management Is

      Pros

      For an entry level job, it's a solid place to work. You aren't micromanaged and work mostly autonomously day-to-day as long as you're hitting your goals. Great snacks/refreshments available at all times when in office and the office itself is very nice and modern.

      Cons

      If you're ambitious, don't apply. There is a false sense of hope that you will advance if you work hard - you won't. You'll get more work with no increase in pay or promotion. There are little to no women or people of color in management. Middle management are untrained and moved up because of seniority, not because of skill. You will also have to seek your own resources to learn how to do your job best - training is virtually nonexistent so be prepared to invest time outside of work as you won't be paid to learn it. So if you enjoy Veracross and don't want to leave, you would set low expectations with your manager and decline extra work because it won't get you anywhere. There is no work-life balance. PTO is under industry standard and significantly lower than other mid-senior level positions at tech companies in Boston.
