Pros

Very good benefits with a company that is a leader in the industry. Strives to remain a leader despite industry changes.

Cons

Profits have become more important than anything. The company preaches work/life balance for front line employees but middle management isn't considered in this equation at all.

Pros

The company offers AMAZING benefits.

Cons

Contsantly changes commision structure to make it harder to make money as a sales rep. Management has forgotten what real world sales are like. This particular job SUCKS and I mean SUCKS, and this is coming from someone who probably loves verizon more than lowell mcadam. This position requires you to be a sales rep, manager, trainer, tech support and customer support and they are paying us pennies. You never really get a day off because of the constant phone calls from stores. Targets are ridiculous and a joke, Base salaries are waaaaay too low for this job, you are capped on commission and only get paid quarterly. Empty promises from upper leadership. absolutely ZERO support from resources which makes this job worse. Getting someone approved for a business account is as rare as snow in florida which makes hitting your numbers difficult. The position is so bad all you can do is laugh and joke about how bad it is. If you are considering applying for this position... I strongly urge you to either wait till they "fix" it which is what we are all hoping or wait for something else to come around. This job will force you to look somewhere else because you're stuck in it for a year.

Pros

PAY IS VERY GOOD, Benefits are great (health insurance, paid time off, ect), the work itself is pretty easy (if you like sales), you can relocate at anytime, you get to sleep in almost everyday (its retail so you typically start late in the morning).

Cons

You work late almost every day (don't expect to get off when scheduled), if you need an evening (or day) off you have to let management know like 4 weeks in advance, upper and lower management love to micromanage, recently they put 3/4 our staff "on 6 month review" for failing to sell enough smart car devices (hum) and threatening corrective action if no improvement is shown in numbers. (thankfully I was one that wasn't put on review.) The company just announced lay offs both in their stores and call centers. Thankfully my job is one NOT affected by the lay offs. You constantly deal with angry customers, and once in a while a customer will physically threaten you.
