Pros

Decent pay if you have no prior job experience. (if you do have some kind of prior experience then the pay is average at best)

Cons

Stressful job. You will take abuse from angry customers (who are mad with good reason) and its your job to defend Vivint even when Vivint is in the wrong. The stat system is unforgiving, you have to choose between doing whats right for the customer and your job stats all day every day. Flexible hours? Forget it. You will never get the time off you want working here. They are always understaffed because people start working here, realize how awful it is, and then leave. They will change your promised shift on you when they choose to. You like working your morning shifts? Too bad, we need you to work nights or graveyards instead. They will put good workers on performance plans for the dumbest things and then hold your job over your head like a carrot on a stick. No job security. Management is completely out of touch and only focused on making cuts where they can to save the company money. Dreary work environment. Feels like a prison. Your co workers are depressed individuals, just as you will be, who are on the verge of quitting too. Was told by management that the company was moving alot of these jobs to Jamaica. So if youre down with getting laid off when that happens then by all means, go for it. TLDR: Cons far outweigh the paycheck you get. If you look you will find a much better job that will pay you just as much if not more.

Pros

My position in software was something I enjoyed. My opinions were valued, my team was smart and friendly, and I had a great time working there. I had interesting problems to work on and my autonomy was valued. Great work life balance.

Cons

Rapid hiring led to major layoffs. The company gave no warning to anyone laid off, and they were told the same day they found out to pack up and head out. I heard from someone that was laid off several years ago that something very similar happened.

Pros

Got a lot of cool incentives. Not a hard job at all. Easy and the location is great. That’s all.

Cons

Well here it is. I won a new iphone as part of the rocktober incentive. They said it would be like walking into the apple store and getting a brand new phone. I got my phone in November 2016. Fast forward to April 2017 I left the company. Fast forward to July 2018, I want to sell the same phone I won because I got a new phone. I reset my phone through the settings and then when going to set it up again UH OH. VIVINT NEVER TOLD ME THIS WAS A COMPANY PHONE WITH REMOTE MANAGEMENT. For the last 2 years I have been using the phone for personal use but Vivint installed the remote management and has been able to monitor everything I have done. This is invasion of privacy, invasion of cyber security, they lied and said it was a new phone. It’s not new. It had that software installed prior to me using the phone. Now trying to get ahold of the damn company to unlock my phone that I was taxed on in my bonus is a joke!!!!
