Incredible Company - Incredible Team Climate

Washington Federal is a great company. They do right by their customers but they also do right by their employees. The culture is shifting under the new CEO and it's refreshing. The phrase he often uses is "Love what you do. Make a difference." In the time I've been there I see that this is not just a phrase. He actively recognizes people for making a positive difference in the company. The people I've met all care about coworkers and team mates. It's an exciting place to be. Washington Federal has also found a fun and exciting vehicle for employee communications. This can be such a challenging problem for many companies but the Director of Marketing has found a weekly line of communication to all employees that you don't want to miss . I have never enjoyed a job as much in my life! From Management, to co-workers to the support for the job I'm doing.

We are investing in tools to make each of us more self-aware and able to serve our clients. I am excited to see what our future holds together. I feel lucky to be part of Washington Federal and the great people that make it special. Life is not all roses, we make mistakes. The key is to learn for those and be better each day.

It's rare to work for a corporation where they truly do care about their employees and show such humanity. Its the people that made that job so incredible. Particularly in the Texas region, where I worked, I can't speak highly enough of my coworkers. They push you to do well, and help you to get there. Amazing learning opportunity.
