Pros

Good Products and Services. The branch hours.

Cons

The sales culture is redundant. Daily meeting and calls revolving the same topics. The Asst Manager role is not looked at as management. The role just gets you a little more pay. You carry all the tasks that the manager does not want to deal with, and you have the highest sales goal in the branch. I have been in banking almost 2 decades and in management for 1. When I arrived to Webster I was told that the Asst Manager is an “emerging leader”. That turned me off completely. Most banks treat the Assistant Manager and Branch Manager role the same. With difference in daily tasks, and authority levels. But they are normally treated like 2 sides of the same coin. Here at Webster Assistant Managers are treated like a slightly hire level of Universal Banker.
