Pros

The company and culture do great things for the community. The people who work here are generally great. When I first started there, people always said hello in the halls. This decreased as the years went on, but generally it's an awesome place to work with geography and the type of work in mind. The transparency of the direction the company is moving is also something I could see not many companies doing.

Cons

Depends what department you're in, but there is a lot of favoritism. It makes sense that some people are treated better for their work ethic, but when recent hires get priority on training and jobs over people who have been there for much longer. it makes the loyalty feel as though you're being taken advantage of. Especially considering the raises are not the best every year.

You get to meet new people often.

Cons

When I first started, I was told the plan was to more than double the size of the company by 2020. What a great opportunity I thought. Unfortunately they are still a 40 million dollar company which is ok, but things are stagnant. The Inside Sales Team is in constant flux, with most people barely lasting a year. But hey, read the social media posts, they are growing! The creative team continues to lose people at an alarming rate but they allege your career path is thoughtfully planned out. I’m not sure what that means? Unless your career path plan is to move right out the door.

Weidenhammer's dna has always been about the growth of our business either organically or through acquisition and we set goals to that end. Sometimes, as with any business, those goals are not achieved, such as the 20/20 visioning this reviewer is referring to. While the IT industry churns an employee after 3 years of tenure on average, Weidenhammer team members have an average tenure of over 11 years! Sometimes our team members grow faster than our company and chose to continue their careers in other organizations. We are proud of being apart of their growth and development! Inside sales is a high turnover position and Weidenahmmer has mirrored peer IT organizations in this regard. Not many people can or are willing to meet the expectations in this high call volume role. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and advice on your experience. We will continue to help our customers succeed in the digital economy!
